Local Graphic Designer Receives Inclusion into Worldly-Renowned Design Publication

PR.com)-- Shawn Dixon, of Birchtree Creative Services, has recently been selected for inclusion in this year’s LogoLounge Book 4. LogoLounge carefully reviews submissions, from all over the world, and is the internet’s largest database of logos – over 65,000 to date.
The book, now in its fourth volume, is published every 18 months and judges this year, include Louis Lygo of Wolff Olins, Jerry Kuyper of Jerry Kuyper Partners, Jason Schulte of Office, Gaby de Abreu of Switch Branding & Design, Haley Johnson of Haley Johnson Design, Neville Brody of Research Studios, Janet Martin of Communication Arts, Inc., and Chris Campbell of Interbrand. The new book will be released by Rockport Publishers in February of 2008.
Each judge reviewed thousands of logos from around the world, each mark submitted by talented graphic designers from various parts of the globe, from freelancers to agency staff, representing the latest in design trends and fashions around the globe.
“When I got the call, I was in the middle of doing an identity campaign for another client, and I was really surprised. I do logos all day long and this one I submitted was for the company that I worked at, at the time. I am just honored to be included, in print, next to other creative artists in this field. I use logo books, myself for ideas and industry trends, so it will be great to show my kids – Look what Daddy did!” Dixon said.
