Windhoek, Namibia, April 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Join Otavi Steel (Pty) with its shareholding partners; Groot Group, SDS Group, Otavi Town Council and Andre Neethling Family Trust, hosted by Neuroeconomist and Visionary Simon Kapenda, PhD (Candidate), CEO of Groot Group; Moses Matyayi, CEO of Otavi Town Council; and Andre Neethling, Co-Founder of Ohorongo Cement, on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 09h00 in Windhoek, as they discuss about Namibia's Rapid Industrialization Through the Development of the Otavi Steel Mill in Otavi and its impactful business ecosystem designed to exponentially benefit Namibia as a country through the partnership and providers by Namibia-based businesses and entrepreneurs whose ultimate mission is to help ensure Namibia's sustainable economic prosperity.

Otavi Steel is backed and supported by an impressive pool of some of the world's largest steel technology and equipment providers, and engineering companies, financial and advisor groups, including Italy-based, Danieli (one of the world's largest providers of steel making technology and equipment), Germany-based SMS Group, and partner providers from around the world.

The Otavi Steel Business Convention Event will focus on thoroughly explaining what it is and what is required in terms of local contribution of products and services worth about 100 Euro (N$1 billion) which are needed for the construction and ongoing operation of the Otavi Steel. Some of these products must be imported but some, such as cement, steel structures, and more, must be locally supplied and provided through the issuance of the Otavi Steel Public Tenders starting later on this year.

Example, just for the Otavi Steel Nanomill alone, for the required ground transportation of trucks to carry 20-30 tons per each truck to transport 300,000 tons of finished products as well as raw materials, Otavi Steel Nanomill will need 100 trucks a day or 3,000 trucks a month, which are 36,000 a year. And we will depend on the truck owners to do this for us. This applies to our need of scrap metals, and more for the continued operation of the Otavi Steel Mill.

This Event is designed to help make aware how the Namibian business community will benefit from of all the business opportunities that the Otavi Steel Mill is creating, so that Namibian entrepreneurs could start preparing now as some may set up new businesses and apply for business loans in order to efficiently become the providers and suppliers of Otavi Steel, all to add billions of dollars to the Namibian GDP, create hundreds of thousands of direct and indirect sustainable employment opportunities and overall, for the wellbeing of all the Namibians.
