Marketing 24/7 Competing Nationally in Social Madness

Birmingham, AL, June 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Marketing 24/7 and Chief Executive Officer Ruwena Healy are entering the madness. Social Madness is a new one-of-a-kind competition that will measure the growth of a company’s social presence. The competition is presented by Capital One Spark Business, and locally, by the Birmingham Business Journal.

Social Madness is a local and national challenge that will spotlight the best social media programs of companies in 43 cities. Competitors like Marketing 24/7 will fight for the win by making new connections on top social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and votes on The Business Journals Social Madness pages. The promotion will culminate in a national bracket challenge that will crown Social Madness champions in three categories based on company size.

Ruwena Healy CEO of Marketing 24/7 found this unique challenge of interest. “Along with other entrants, Marketing 24/7 will have the ability to improve its social profile, showcase its social media savvy to the Birmingham Business Journal audience and gain expertise and insight into social media best practices for businesses,” Healy said.

Additionally, charitable donations will be made on behalf of the three national winners. Healy is a supporter of organ donation and would love to win the national competition to receive Business Journals’ charitable donation. “I would make sure the funds were given to the liver transplant department at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida,” she said.

Voting begins June 1 in 43 cities nationwide and concludes on June 18. Local winners will be announced July 17 and national winners will be announced September 11.
