Runner Releases New Book About His Cross Country Adventure, Six Miles Per Hour

Author and runner, Patrick McGlade is pleased to announce the release of his new book, Six Miles Per Hour. This new release is a memoir of Patricks journey cross country, running from California to Georgia.

Fairfax, VA, July 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In early 2010, 21 year old Patrick McGlade ran from Huntington Beach, CA to Tybee Island, GA. He ran across the United States in order to raise money and awareness for juvenile arthritis. The journey was a total of 2,553 miles and he averages 30 miles per day. Though the run was challenging, the real inspiration came from the people he met along the way. He met good people. And this is the story of those good people.

Six Miles Per Hour is a book that speaks to the best in human nature as Patrick describes the unconditional support, love and positive energy so generously bestowed upon him by his family, friends and complete strangers along his route. This book is a great read for runners and non-runners, old and young alike, this honest and inspirational story will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the next adventure.
