Brixtel Corporation Awarded USAF Contract to Provide Flight Data Input/Output Systems

The systems will be configured to meet specific performance and space requirements prior to assembling. Each unit will be programmed and assembled at Brixtel’s integrated design, development and production facility.

Washington, DC, October 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Brixtel (http://www.brixtel.com), a leading Management and Technology Consulting firm, has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to provide Flight Data Input/Output (FDIO) systems. These new systems will be connected back to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Brixtel will also be responsible for logistics and support of the new units.

FDIO and related specially designed systems provide the necessary functional capabilities for National Airspace System (NAS) flight plan data, weather information, general information and message entry and receipt to all air traffic control and traffic management facilities. It processes all actions and information to and from air traffic control facilities in its area. These systems also allow for flight plan data to be input to the NAS from the remote sites.

“The role of men and women in uniform that stand in harm's way on behalf of a very grateful Nation cannot be overstated,” said Brixtel CEO Andy Mansoor. “We are honored to support their mission under this contract.”

Each FDIO system provided by Brixtel is composed from Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components, including memory, cards, power supplies and cables. The systems are also configured to meet performance and space requirements, as specified by the USAF and FAA. Prior to deployment, Brixtel will source all components, then assemble, program and test each unit at its integrated design, development and production facility.

Brixtel will be working closely with the USAF as it begins work on these systems.
