Klingspor's Woodworking Shop Extravaganza: Free Show with Tools, Classes, Demos, & More

Klingspor's Woodworking Shop Extravaganza is a free woodworking show held at the Hickory Metro Convention Center on Oct. 26th & 27th. Free admission, parking, live demos & classes, and free apples while at the show. Several door prizes will be given away with the grand prize being a $1,200 gift certificate. Over 5,000 people attended the show in 2011.

Hickory, NC, October 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina at the Hickory Metro Convention Center, the Extravaganza is the only woodworking shows of its kind in North Carolina. The admission is free, the parking is free, the demos and classes are all free, free locally grown apples, which were enjoyed by people from over fifteen states last year, free registration for door prizes and much, much more. They will be giving away several door prizes with the grand prize being a $1,200 gift certificate. Read on to find out more about some of the classes and demos that will be on hand.

Last year they had over five thousand people in attendance and this year is looking as if they will exceed that number. Klingspor's Woodworking Shop Extravaganza has over forty vendors represented from companies like Delta, Jet, Porter-Cable, DeWalt, SawStop, Bosch, Makita, Bessey, Rikon, and more.

Come check out or participate in the 11th Annual Woodcarving Competition and Show – Sponsored by: Catawba Valley Woodcarvers Association. Some of the free classes & demos include: Learn To Turn in the 10 lathe mobile classroom with the Carolina Mountain Woodturners. Test Drive a Lathe with the North Carolina Woodturners. Special turning demos will be done by Nick Cook and others. Michelle Parsons will be on hand showing the art of Pyrography (Woodburning). Watch an artist carve using nothing but a chainsaw. Learn how to Build a Bamboo Rod with Smith Rod Company, and more.
