Zane's Cycles in Branford, CT is challenging professional artists to think outside of this box.
The top 10 finalists will each be supplied with a large box of recycled bicycle parts available to pick by January 15th.
Each artist must complete the entire project themselves, no outside fabrication and utilize a minimum of 50% of the parts provided. Since sculptures will be displayed outside, other materials used must be able to withstand weather conditions.
Deadline for submissions of completed sculptures is April 2nd at Zane's Cycles, 330 East Main Street, Branford, CT.
Top prize is a $1000 gift card. Remaining 9 sculptures will be auctioned and proceeds will go to The Zane Foundation, a yearly scholarship program intended for local graduating students who excel scholastically. All sculptures become the property of Zane's Cycles.
