PR.com)-- Katelyn McCarter and the staff of Dreamin’ Out Loud Entertainment recently made the trip to Nashville, TN for two days of meetings with several record producers and decided to work with Producers Eric Copeland of Creative Soul Productions and Grammy winner Jonathan Crone.
Katelyn, a Christian / Pop artist from Petersburg, VA was discovered via music site Reverbnation the early part of 2012 and by October of that year she was signed to independent Christian label Dreamin’ Out Loud Entertainment. Both Katelyn and her mom made the trip to Kansas City, MO in November of 2012 to meet in person the staff of the new label. “It’s been full steam ahead ever since” says label co-founder Debra Payne. “Right after the holidays it was time to head to Nashville. We had meetings set to take place starting on the seventeenth of January,” says Debra.
“The decision to work with the Creative Soul team couldn’t have happened at a better time,” says Dreamin’ Out Loud Entertainment co-founder Arthur Payne. “Creative Soul just announced a new association with Word Records which will benefit the artists that have Creative Soul at the helm of their productions.” Here is an excerpt from the press release...
"When we approached Word Entertainment about the work we were doing, we were very transparent," says Creative Soul president Eric Copeland. "Our goals have always been to provide true artist development, amazing music production and opportunity to Christian artists and songwriters. The one problem we have always faced was legitimacy.”
Copeland knew that if the right major Christian label could see the potential in growing new ministries, that they could become partners together in helping ministries grow. Before long, Word Entertainment President & CEO Rod Riley and Sr. VP of A&R Josh Bailey both caught the vision and saw the potential in such a unique alignment.
Though Creative Soul is at the helm of the project the majority of the production duties will be handled by Grammy award winner, Producer Jonathan Crone. Jonathan has worked on many projects including those by Heather Headley, Bebe & Cece Winans, Josh Gracin, Vanessa Williams, Keith Thomas, Rissi Palmer, Steve Green, Laura Turner, Michael Bolton, Landon Pigg, Guy Penrod, Mark Shultz, Relient K, Savvy & Mandy, Savannah Outen, Celica Westbrook, Bill Whittington, Will Champlin, Lindell Cooley, Lori Michaels, Robin Crow, Robert Marvin, Tim Veazey, Adam Nitti, Mark Townsend, Bernie Herms, Dan Muckala, Shane Keister, David Hamilton, Dick Tunney, Kirk Whalum, The Elms, John Nicholson, First Call, and Cheyenne Kimball and many others.
“We are now looking for the right songs for the debut cd and really hope to start the recording process by late March or early April,” says Arthur Payne.
"This is my wildest dream coming true. I am so excited to be doing a full album with Creative Soul Records and I know God will truly bless it and use it to his glory,” adds McCarter.
