PR.com)-- Artcraft Health Education announces that it has been honored with a Communitas Award for a project it completed during the December 2012 holiday season. The entire staff of Artcraft spent a morning at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. Artcraft employees spruced up the building with a variety of colorful signs, built a marquee to announce upcoming events, and made garden carts for Care Center residents with green thumbs. The Care Center provides physical rehabilitation services to surgical patients and assistance for people who need long-term care, including people with Alzheimer Disease and other cognitive disorders.
“Communitas” is a Latin word that means people coming together for the good of a community. The Communitas Awards is an international effort to recognize exceptional businesses, organizations, and individuals that are unselfishly giving of themselves and their resources, and those that are changing how they do business to benefit their communities. The awards are an outgrowth of the pro bono recognition program of the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). Founded in 1995, AMCP fosters and supports the efforts of its members who contribute their unique marketing and communication talents to public service and charitable organizations.

This service project enabled us to do good work for the people of our community. What was so rewarding was to see how the Care Center’s residents reacted so positively to our work, with some even pitching in as sidewalk superintendents. This award is greatly appreciated, but the real reward was the appreciation we felt at the Care Center.”
