)-- The art world’s most exciting event on the fair calendar taking place 19 - 23 March, 2013 in the United Arab Emirates will be attended by Louise Pharand Doren.
Art Dubai is the vibrant cornerstone of the region's booming contemporary art community. Last year, it welcomed over 22,000 visitors including major international museums groups and hosted galleries from 32 countries. This year's programme includes commissioned projects and performances, artists' and curators' residencies, educational workshops, the unveiling of works by the winners of the annual Abraaj Group Art Prize and the critically acclaimed Global Art Forum.
Special events include Design Days Dubai - the only fair in Asia dedicated to product and furniture design; Sikka, the fair run by Dubai Culture and dedicated to new work by UAE-based artists as well as Galleries Nights as part of Art Week. The fair which opened with record breaking sales, is now in its 7th year. It is held at Madinat Jumeirah under the patronage of the youthful Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women’s Establishment.

Louise Pharand Doren has worked as art advisor and curator since 2007, and is currently finishing writing a book on Picasso. Her personal collection spans four centuries of notably French art. She is among the few if not the first Canadian VIP Guest at Art Dubai.
