)-- Dr. Ralph G. Perrino, Founder and Director of Northern Virginia Tutoring Service, LLC, is pleased to announce the formation of a professional partnership with netWORKshops LLC.
netWORKshops provides comprehensive group workshops for college students entering the job market; it leverages interpersonal connections and shared resources to ensure every participant stays motivated to find the “right job!” This is achieved by integrating team dynamics that promote support, feedback, accountability and follow-up in a fun and interactive environment.
The curriculum includes a self-assessment, resume and cover letter enhancement, interview preparation, research/social media, networking and more. Participants develop detailed Action Plans, Networking and Tracking Tools including correspondence templates to improve efficiency and guarantee they “hit the ground running.”
Individual coaching is also available.
netWORKshops was formed in 2012 by Joan M. Sherman, a job-search and networking coach based in Washington, DC. Ms. Sherman’s career spans 25+ years in the private business sector and consulting to Federal government agencies where she held a variety of leadership, sales and relationship management positions.
According to NVTS Director, Dr. Ralph G. Perrino: “Partnering with Joan and netWORKshops offers our college-level students a value-added resource as they transition from student and explore the vast world of work and careers. Many are overwhelmed, lost or unprepared; the workshop creates a paradigm shift in that the scary chore of looking for a job becomes a creative, well organized treasure hunt, thereby enhancing the prospects for employment in one’s chosen field.”
