Los Angeles, CA, March 07, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- RogueFlix, the new young-male driven Action Lifestyle Network will release the medieval webseries, FREELANCERS, on March 8, 2013. The webseries was written, directed, and produced by Ignatius Fischer featuring up-and-comers Caitlin Geier, Nicholas Givanio, and Ivan Borntrager (winner of Best Actor, Lisl and the Lorlok, Idyllwild 2011).
“In the series opener, we meet gorgeous thief Caitlin Marcks (Caitlin Geier), recently captured by warrior and bounty hunter, Nick the Bold (Nicholas Givanio) and his wizard comrade Ivan Strang (Ivan Borntrager). Nick and Caitlin are soon attacked by swashbuckling armed mercenaries as the drunk Ivan can barely muster enough energy to cast a fireball! FREELANCERS was edited by Telly Award winning editor, Bradley Greenwell who keeps the show rollicking through a stylized comedic adventure set in a classic fantasy landscape,” stated Adam Cray, resident film critic at RogueFlix.
"It was a great experience and pleasure working with my talented cast and crew, Brad Greenwell on the edit, and Dave Holden on the score. Plus, to have RogueFlix express an interest in the webseries, I can't imagine it being more awesome,” stated Ignatius Fischer. “RogueFlix seems like a perfect venue for FREELANCERS and their platform is excellent, especially the way the advertising is laid out and is customizable to a specific audience. We can't wait to get our content out there for our audience and RogueFlix is making that happen!"
“We are excited about teaming up with Ignatius and his team at Witness Pictures for this truly amazing webseries adventure,” stated Bryan Duran, co-founder, CEO and General Counsel of RogueFlix. “After reviewing the teaser trailer and other materials for FREELANCERS, I was impressed with Ignatius’ story-telling and directing abilities. I knew right away that I wanted to feature FREELANCERS on RogueFlix and quickly struck a deal with Ignatius poolside at the Loews Hotel during the American Film Market memorialized on a napkin.”
“This is an exciting time for our growing digital distribution platform, we are also currently developing several webshows and feature length movies in-house to be released exclusively on RogueFlix,” stated Larry Rodriguez, co-founder and COO of RogueFlix. “The majority of the people visiting the site are young males between the ages of 13 and 30 and that is the primary focus of our action genre content.”
Prior to RogueFlix, Bryan had worked as an entertainment attorney for Starz Media / Anchor Bay Entertainment and as a senior financial analyst at Warner Bros. and NBC Universal. He also worked in creative development at Fox Studios.
