Lepsien Art Foundation Starts Tender Process for the International Grant Program 2013/14

)-- As every year, the Lepsien Art Foundation is tendering the International Grant Program 2013/14 "Emerging Talents" for Fine Art. In total five grants will be awarded to international artists in the disciplines Painting, Sculpture and Photography.
The Grant Program for the year 2013/14 will start on the 1st of September 2013 and will run until the 31st of August 2014. The official tender period starts on the 1st of April 2013 and ends on the 15th of June 2013. Applications outside the tender period will not be considered valid. For the first time a dedicated online application tool is at hand for all artists applying for the program on the website: www.lepsien-art-foundation.com.
The candidates must have a degree from a recognized art college/university and must have gained already some first public recognition (exhibitions, publications, etc.). Active students at the time of the application are excluded from the process. Applicants should not be older than 39 years at the time of applying for the grant program.
The grant program includes studio space in the Art House Dusseldorf, Germany (www.the-art-house.eu), the production of limited art editions, the publishing of the annual catalogue with Kerber group and the final exhibition. The Foundation is taking two art works from each artist into the permanent collection which will be made available to public through exhibitions and catalogues. Artists have the opportunity to receive the art patronage at the end of the grant program.
All applications will be reviewed by a dedicated committee set up by members of the Foundation and external curators.
All shortlist candidates will be invited for a telephone interview. The five awardees will be officially informed the latest by the 1st of August 2013.

The Lepsien Art Foundation is a charity non-profit-organization (NPO), founded by the German art collector Christian Lepsien. It has offices in Abu Dhabi, Dusseldorf and Berlin. The mission of the organization is to provide sustainable patronage for Emerging Talents in the field of Fine Art and to build bridges between Europe and Middle East through art and culture. The management consists of Mr. Christian Lepsien, Mrs. Cindy Tereba and a Supervisory Board. The Lepsien Art Foundation runs the international grant program on an annual basis and is awarding five grants to international artist every year.
