Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes Awards $12,500 Grant to America’s Mighty Warriors
Surprise, AZ, April 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes (Coalition), a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to rebuilding the lives of severely wounded veterans of the War on Terror, today announced the awarding of a $12,500 grant to America’s Mighty Warriors. The grant enabled 41 wounded warriors and families of soldiers killed in battle to participate, at no cost, in a retreat March 14-17 at Allaso Ranch in Hawkins, Texas.

America’s Mighty Warriors was established in 2008 by Debbie Lee to honor, thank, support and encourage the troops and their families and remember the sacrifice of her "Mighty Warrior" Marc Alan Lee, the first Navy SEAL killed in Iraq. The organization has accepted the challenge from Marc’s last letter home to “pass on the kindness, the love, the precious gift of human life, through random acts of kindness” that will impact and honor our military, the fallen and their families for their selfless service and sacrifice.

“We are so thankful for the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes’ support, which allowed us to host a successful retreat at Allaso Ranch,” said Debbie Lee, President of America’s Mighty Warriors. “So many lives were touched and encouraged during this retreat, and we couldn’t have done it without the Coalition’s generosity.”

Allaso Ranch boasts 1,000 acres with amenities such as swimming pools, paintball, athletic fields, horseback riding, water slides and zip lines. It is ADA accessible.

“Debbie is an incredible woman who has dedicated her life to carrying out the bold challenge from her son to share random acts of kindness with wounded veterans,” said David Walker, President & CEO of the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes. “We are very pleased to support her life-affirming work, and to enable so many men and women that have sacrificed so much for our nation to enjoy a respite from their daily lives.”
