National Association of Women Business Owners, Southern Nevada to Host Women of Distinction Awards May 3 in Las Vegas

Over 30 top Southern Nevada business women to be feted at May 3 luncheon at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino.

Las Vegas, NV, April 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Southern Nevada will recognize top business women at the 15th Annual Women of Distinction Awards (WODA) luncheon on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the recently remodeled Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino.

This year, the following business women were nominated by their peers: Gayle M. O’Hearn, Kelly Petersen, Florence Rogers, Lynn Rosenbach, Michele Rothstein, Jill Roundy, Florence Shapiro, Tammy Shaw, London Swinney, Sarah Thornton, Ronna Timpa, Gigi Vega and Susan Wolfla.

WODA categories include Communications & Public Relations; Education, Government Services; Human Resources & Training; Philanthropy & Community Service; Real Estate & Construction,; Retail & Business Services; Gaming, Hospitality & Convention Services; Glass Ceiling; Rising Star; and Entrepreneur of the Year.

KLAS Ch. 8’s Paula Francis will serve as this year’s master of ceremonies. Tickets are $85 per person and are available at www.nawbosn.org. Proceeds from this annual fundraiser will benefit locally owned women-owned businesses through the Southern Nevada chapter of NAWBO.
