About National Aviation Academy:
National Aviation Academy began training Aircraft Mechanics in 1969, and was licensed by the FAA in 1970. The school operates in a state-of-the-art classroom and office facility. All "hands-on" training is performed in both lab classrooms and a maintenance hangar located 1.5 miles east of the classrooms at the St. Petersburg / Clearwater International Airport.

National Aviation Academy is a nationally recognized aviation maintenance training school. NAA’s program prepares students for certification by the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification is required to perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft from small propeller-driven planes, to the largest jets.

National Aviation Academy provides a broad aviation maintenance education that gives students the knowledge and confidence they need to be successful as Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) or Professionals (AMPs). The program encompasses 42 areas of aviation technology and the regulations involved in addition to an Avionics program. Approximately half of the training time is spent working directly on aircraft, engines, and associated equipment for both jet powered and piston powered aircraft. NAA’s highly qualified instructors have many years of industry experience and most importantly they have a genuine passion for instructing the next generation of aviation maintenance professionals. Emphasis is placed on the student's mastery of career-related skills and building of self-confidence for entry into the industry upon graduation.

Graduates of NAA go on to fill technician positions with such exciting and well known companies as JetBlue Airways, Continental Airlines, Raytheon, Honeywell, Southwest Airlines, Cessna, Delta Airlines, Lockheed Martin, and many more.
