G Adventures Launches Its World of Possibilities Campaign for AARP Members

Tour operator, an AARP Travel provider, seeks Possibility Leaders committed to one of four trip themes.

Providence, RI, May 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- G Adventures, the world’s small group adventure travel leader announced a new campaign today giving AARP members the opportunity to lead, promote and organize a G Adventures trip and possibly travel for free. The campaign, called World of Possibilities, seeks enthusiastic individuals eager to pursue a passion around four travel themes: Food & Wine; Photography; Wildlife & Marine; and Hiking & Biking.

“We developed a series of trips around themes we feel will resonate with today’s active, engaged AARP members, many of whom want to pursue and share immersive travel experiences,” says Cyndi Zesk, Vice President of Global Marketing and US Managing Director for G Adventures. “And now we’re looking for AARP members to become G Adventures’ first Possibility Leaders willing to advocate around one of the four trip themes they are passionate about.”

“Possibilities are critical to this audience at this life stage,” said Clay Buckley, Vice President of Lifestyle for AARP Services Inc. “The launch of G Adventures’ new campaign is a great opportunity for AARP members to realize their travel goals and dreams.”

To be considered for the role of Possibility Leader, AARP members are asked to select one of the four themes and submit a short online (www.gadventures.com/leader) application detailing why they would make the ideal candidate and what they would do to engage other AARP members, family and friends to travel with them on a G Adventures trip. For AARP members planning to attend the Life@50+ Las Vegas event, they can submit their application in person at G Adventures’ exhibition display at booth #T9.

The deadline to apply is July 1, 2013 and selected candidates will be notified no later than July 10, 2013. No experience is necessary to become a G Adventures Possibility Leader - just a willingness to promote their Possibility Trip to friends, family, acquaintances, and other like-minded groups and individuals.

Adds Zesk, “As a Possibility Leader, AARP members will be tasked with promoting their trip through any channels available to them such as social media and special interest groups. We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals to drive awareness and interest for their Possibility Trip and to inspire their network to travel.”

AARP members can save on a wide variety of trips around the world with G Adventures: $100 per person on all land- and marine-based trips seven days or more including G Adventures Expedition departures; $50 per person on Discovery Adventures™ land-based trips; and $25 per person on all land- and marine-based trips under seven days.

Aside from the AARP member benefits, G Adventures guarantees 100% of their departures. There is no need to worry about a group trip canceling, because with G Adventures there are no minimum passenger numbers required for a departure to go. In addition, the company offers 24/7 service and an innovative Lifetime Deposit. If unexpected events cause a trip to be cancelled passengers can simply keep their deposits on file for a future trip, gift that deposit to a friend or donate it to Planeterra, the company's not-for-profit.

With G Adventures, AARP members can choose program styles from Active to Family and from G Plus with upgraded accommodations to Small Ship including Polar Expedition Cruises in both Antarctica and the Arctic. Service levels are designed to meet most tastes and budgets and include: basic, standard and comfort. Whether it's a safari in East Africa, conquering the Drake Passage into the Antarctic Circle, exploring Machu Picchu in Peru or driving along iconic Route 66 right here in the USA, travelers can count on G Adventures to provide an immersive, sustainable and cultural experience.
