Decor and You

Southbury, CT, August 23, 2007 --(PR.com)-- As summer days lounging on the patio wind down this September, do half-decorated rooms and tired décor make you dread the long winter indoors? Turn your home into an inviting space with the help of acclaimed interior designers at DecorRoom Challenge on Sept. 7, 2007, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Southbury, Conn., from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Panelists will analyze and debate decorating solutions for unfinished or problem rooms, from photos submitted by audience members. Tickets are $15 per person, available in advance through Aug. 31, 2007, and space is limited. Mary Gilliatt, renowned British interior designer, journalist and author of 40 books on design, headlines the panel. Her client list includes British royalty and A-list celebrities like Katie Couric and Liam Neeson. Gilliatt will sign advance copies of her newest book, “Bedrooms by Mary Gilliatt,” scheduled for release in the U.S. in October.

Other featured designers include Susanne Wiener, past-president of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and acclaimed windows expert Neil Gordon, who appeared last year on the cover of Draperies and Window Coverings Magazine. The interactive event also includes a tour of a before-and-after “DecorRoom” exhibit, demonstrating how minor changes can create completely different, yet fully decorated room schemes. Representatives of Decor&You will be on hand to answer questions.
