GSF Hires Joseph Ohm

GSf hires Joseph Ohm as Mortgage Loan Originator.

Brookfield, WI, July 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- GSF welcomes Joseph Ohm to the GoGSF team. Ohm will serve as a Mortgage Loan Originator.

Ohm graduated in 2000 from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with an Accounting Degree. He has spent 11 years working in accounting along with four years in the Retirement Plan field. He is also a Registered Tax Preparer.

With an extensive accounting background, Ohm will be a good fit due to the granular details of the financial position along with helping customers take the next step. Ohm has experience with revenue accounting and payroll accounting. With this, he is able to better assist customers to get qualified for a loan based on their credit report and housing expenses-to-income ratio.

His background provides Ohm with leverage when it comes to understanding the physical health of the customer, meaning whether they have assets or are heading toward bankruptcy.

“The more healthy the customer is, the better qualified they will be for a mortgage,” says Ohm.

With this leverage, Ohm will better be able to determine the purchase market. He will be able to determine if it is the right time to buy based on an affordability analysis and the customer’s debt-to-income ratio, turning renters to homebuyers or empty nesters into condo owners. This will be determined based on the economic accounting that goes into buying a house. He will be able to help existing homeowners upgrade to larger homes based on the equity of their current home or extract their equity through a cash-out refinance.

Ohm feels it is a great opportunity to get into the mortgage field now due to the recession ending and the marketing indicators becoming more positive.

Ohm’s philosophy in customer service from an accounting standpoint can also be translated into the mortgage industry, “Listen to the customer’s needs and help them accomplish their goal in a more efficient manner, whether it’s improving their credit history or determining if it is the right time to purchase a home.”

Ohm hopes to add a more dynamic atmosphere by working cohesively with other Mortgage Loan Originators. He hopes to help expand into diverse loan markets, such as Jumbo Loans and Reverse Loans.

Ohm has passed the SAFE MLO Test with Uniform State Content --- on his first attempt.

When Ohm is not working, he is passionate about rugby. He began playing in 1984 with the UW-Milwaukee team. In 1991, he began playing with the Harlequins. Ohm has been on tour to New Zealand three times, along with the UK, Ireland and Australia.

Ohm has always lived in the Metro Milwaukee Area. He grew up in Brown Deer and now owns a duplex in Milwaukee. He feels Milwaukee has become a bigger financial center- not as big as Chicago but is able to siphon business from Chicago.
