Allentown, PA, September 19, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Rivaling dance clubs in nearby Atlantic City, Wave Nightclub, located atop Cosmopolitan Restaurant in Allentown, PA, will feature elaborate lights, music, décor and other effects reminiscent of Las Vegas. Wave will celebrate its Grand Opening weekend October 25 and 26, with a special VIP reception being planned for opening night.
DJ Xtina was voted Atlantic City’s #1 Female DJ by AC Weekly and she is a member of the elite BumSquad DJs (the first female DJ in the region to be admitted.) An open format DJ (blending different music genres cohesively), Xtina will be Wave’s resident DJ, with members of the BumSquad spinning on select nights.
The lavish new club, initially opening only on Friday and Saturday nights, replaces Cosmopolitan Restaurant’s former rooftop lounge. Hailed as a “true dance club,” Wave Nightclub is the first in the Lehigh Valley to have a glass-enclosed, dedicated dance floor, accounting for more than half of the two-story club’s square footage.
Wave will cater to an upscale, 30+ crowd, with VIP seating areas, top-of-the-line sound and lighting, and perhaps Allentown’s best view of the city.
“We continually strive to outdo ourselves,” said Bill Grube, co-owner of Wave Nightclub, who with partner Myron Haydt introduced the Lehigh Valley to a higher caliber dining experience when they opened Cosmopolitan Restaurant.
“We raised the bar with Cosmopolitan and we are raising it again with Wave,” said Haydt. “Allentown is the third largest city in Pennsylvania and we will rival any of the clubs found in either of the 2 larger cities.”
Allentown is within close proximity to Philadelphia, New York City, the New Jersey Shore and Baltimore/Washington DC; and Wave Nightclub’s owners fully expect to draw club-goers from these and other areas.
“The Lehigh Valley—and particularly the City of Allentown—are experiencing a resurgence,” said Grube. “We’ve got a casino, professional sports teams, the hottest female DJ on the East Coast, and soon, the hottest dance club, too.”
