New York, NY, September 26, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- OzIcely is a pop band collaborated from South Carolina in the United States. The band was formed as a pop rock band made up of friends that have done session work for years, while playing out live and in the studio backing other projects by other mainstream artists. The band has gone direct to the roots of pop rock to combine everyone into a band of 5, that eventually became known as OzIcely. Their debut album, Alive in The Dying Light, was released this year in 2013. It has already begun to reap its dividends with a hit song (“UP2U”) being marked as the 4th “Most Added” FMQB (Friday Morning Quarterback), the #24 song at FMQB on that Top200 Chart last month! The first single being worked to radio this year has also garnered the attention as the #20 Hot AC40 song on that New Music Weekly (NMW) along with it being the #5 Hot AC40 on the Indie Chart at NMW, the #27 Top40 song on those Main Charts at NMW, the #24 song on the Hot 100 Chart at NMW, the #10 song on the Top40 Indie Chart at NMW, and is the current Top40 “Most Increased” song on that Chart at NMW! And, it is #7 song at the Independent Music network on their Top30 Mainstream Charts! The full length CD is strongly influenced by alternative rock, funk, rock punk, and some rhythm and blues, to make up this colorful pop rock album.
OzIcely has an album of songs that are very accessible to the masses and at the same time, the overall pop sound has already touched audiences in a big way. OzIcely brings something new and unique to the pop rock music scene. The combination of 5 songwriters works together musically, “with a secret recipe, to bake a fresh new sound” is how its described by the band. Each of the band members bring their own unique color and talent to each song. That combination creates a unique and colorful sound experience which is why the obvious rise to being the #20 Hot AC40 song at NMW in less than two months, along with it being the 4th most added song at FMQB this month/last month, shows off what is being touted and described by the band themselves and by the label (Sunset Records) as “Kentucky fried Pop” with colonel Oz’s secret recipe! The label also has boasted to the first single being played on at least 50 FM pop rock stations in the U.S., along with 4 more adds this week with over 1,173 plays giving the song an increase of 134 plays a day in less than two months.
This debut album OzIcely album produced even more hit songs as the next single being worked to radio is “Yesterday” and the plan is to get the same reactions at major radio as their first single. OzIcely’s other poppy effort on the album that will do well at mainstream radio is the song song “Hollywood,” which opens up as the first song on the full length CD. The band (OzIcely) has plans to get itself on the road and it also has hundreds of songs written up, and therefore plans to release another full length CD with Sunset (Records) at some time next year. The band and label has worked all singles to the commercial mainstream radio markets with radio stations participating commercially and with them all reporting to NMW/STS, FMQB, Billboard/R&R, Music Row and CMJ.
OzIcely can now make the claim to having some of the most recent indelible pop hits of the year, including this debut single “UP2U” that has already turned a lot of heads at mainstream radio. The band collectively is very excited about the album and the work done being on it. Expect songs like “Hollywood,” “Desperate Lovers” and the next single on the Alive I The Dying Light Album being worked to radio, “Yesterday” to show up on popular TV shows on networks like MTV, and also look for their first music video to be released before the end of this year!
