About realia by jen
realia by jen was founded in 2008 by Jennifer Scheffler. Jen has always has a passion for fashion, art and photography. Traveling the world has taught her to appreciate a variety of art forms, and over time she’s added numerous crafting skills to her repertoire. Beads from the Czech Republic can be found in much of her jewelry as they represent the heritage of the town where she grew up (New Prague, MN) and her own personal bloodlines. Like her many moods, her creations vary greatly from classic simplicity to an eclectic mix of fine metals and found objects. She is drawn to color and texture and often creates pieces in her head before they come to life in her hands. In her studio she is both an imaginative inventor and a pragmatic realist working to create pieces that make the intended wearer fall in love at first sight.
Jen strives to make all of her unique creations wearable by real people. If you don’t see something you like, but can describe what you want, Jen will work with you to create something unique that fits what you were seeking!
