Buffalo, NY, October 31, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- The President and CEOs of Empire Genomics, LLC, a global molecular diagnostics company in the field of oncology, and QuaDPharma, a rapidly growing small-to-medium scale commercial contract manufacturer, will consort to host a Halloween happy hour (5-8pm) to raise funds on October 30, 2013 for bile duct cancer research and The Jacquie Hirsch for A.L.L. (acute lymphocytic leukemia) Foundation.
The ‘Tips For The Cure’ concept was hatched through the ‘Nominate Your Boss’ program at The Chocolate Bar in downtown Buffalo. Employees at Empire Genomics and QuaDPharma seized the opportunity for their respective CEOs to act as bartenders, support an area business, and raise money and awareness for cancer research. All tips from the affair will benefit cancer research and philanthropy. The event is free, open to the public, and Halloween costumes are encouraged for awarded prizes.
The Jacquie Hirsch For A.L.L. Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization of people, resources, funding and support that was established for the purpose of curing Jacqueline Hirsch from the life-threatening cancer Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Since Jacquie’s passing, their devotion has evolved into raising awareness about leukemia, cancer and bone marrow transplants as well as funding cancer research projects, planning events and providing support to cancer patients and their families.
"Our employees are innovative, passionate and dedicated to the cause of helping improve the plight of those that suffer from cancer and this event is a great example and it is an honor to support it. It should be a fun and festive event, I can only hope customers do not tip Steve and me solely based on our bartending prowess," says Anthony Johnson, Empire Genomics President and CEO.
QuaDPharma President and CEO, Stephen Panaro, shares "Together Empire Genomics and QuaDPharma are dedicated to the life science community, from businesses to people. For me, this event is dedicated to my Mother who was diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer last year. She is an inspiration to me and to people battling cancer, as she is still working hard and playing hard. I hope everyone that joins us knows that they are celebrating life and giving to a cause that has affected many of us."
