Leo Radosta Honored as First Recipient of M.J. McDonough Award for Distinguished Service to Hospice

New Orleans, LA, November 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Leo Radosta, CEO of mumms® Software, was honored as the first recipient of the M.J. McDonough Award for Distinguished Service to Hospice at Outcome Resources’ Pathways to Success Conference. The award honors individuals that have shown high levels of dedication to helping hospices succeed.

Leo Radosta has been serving the hospice community for 25 years by channeling technological innovations into software that supports hospices from the time of referral through the bereavement process. Radosta has dedicated himself to the hospice mission, building mumms® Software from a few lines of code to a company with over 50 employees.

Radosta’s service to hospice and palliative care extends beyond software. In 2005, following Hurricane Katrina, he created the AtRisk Registry™. The At Risk Registry™ is a secure, web-based application used to coordinate and track the safe evacuation and return of at-risk individuals during and after a catastrophic event.

The M.J. McDonough Award is named for Outcome Resources’ C.E.O. Martin J. McDonough. “It is such an honor to partner with such a visionary as Leo Radosta,” McDonough said of Radosta. Radosta received the award at Outcome Resources inaugural User Conference “Pathways to Success.”

“I’m honored to be recognized,” said Radosta, “I’ve been working with Martin for a long time, and it’s an honor to have been chosen.”

The Pathways to Success Conference included renowned speakers covering topics from “The Power of Integrity: A Conversation for Leaders in Business” to “Decoding Opioids: Indications for Best Practice.” Highlighted speakers include Diane Gray of Hospice and Healthcare Communications, who closed out the conference by encouraging participants to talk about death.

One of the highlights of the conference was a session led by mumms® Chief Technology Officer, Steve Turoff, on EMR Innovations and practical solutions for Hospice. Participants were able to earn CEU’s certified by the California Board of RNs for Steve’s session and several other sessions offered at the Conference.

“The conference was beautifully done and all attendees learned something,” said Mark Bellamy, V.P. of Business Development at mumms® and an exhibitor at the conference.
