Annapolis, MD, December 12, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Sometimes you just need a warm hug. Students from Montessori International Children’s House (MICH) hope that their hand-finished fleece blankets will provide comfort to children in hospitals, shelters, or anywhere that a child might be in need of comfort.
Working with the Anne Arundel County/Annapolis chapter of Project Linus, Martha Gawell introduced students in her class to the concept of helping other children through community service. Mrs. Gawell timed this outreach effort to coincide with Make A Difference Day, a national day of helping others. Project Linus will donate the blankets to organizations like Anne Arundel Medical Center, Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Anne Arundel County Social Services, and Sarah’s House Shelter.
