Freelancer Statistics: Freelancers Work More Than Employees

The international project board freelancermap.com has recently published the results of a poll taken to find out whether freelancers or regular employees work more. Here, you can find all results.

Nuremberg, Germany, January 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- A recent survey has now confirmed that freelancers and self-employed contractors work more than full-time employees. The survey was conducted by the international IT-project platform freelancermap.com which asked its users about their regular workload as freelancers.

The results

60% of the participants stated that they are facing more workload as a freelancer than in their previous full-time employment. In turn, 31% of the interviewed freelancers predicated the opposite and confirmed to work less than full-time employees. Another 9% of the participants could not make a statement as they never have worked as a full-time employee before.

The reason why most of the interviewed freelancers and self-employed contractors are faced with more workload than full-time employees may vary between the amount of projects, industries, competition, motivation, or working style.
