Burbank, CA, January 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Editors’ Lounge kicks off 2014 with a double presentation from Avid and Filmlight, as well as first-time presenter Pond5. A trusted source for the latest in new technology for the post-production professional, the Editors’ Lounge gives the opportunity to learn new skills hands-on while networking with other industry peers. The event will be held on Friday, January 31st at AlphaDogs Post Production 1612 W. Olive Ave, Suite 200, Burbank, CA 91506 beginning at 6:30 p.m. RSVP is required. http://www.editorslounge.com

Editors will have the opportunity to learn more about Baselight grading directly within Avid—on Mac and Windows—and find out why Baselight Editions is a popular tool used amongst editors. Baselight for Avid shares the same color metadata as all systems in the Filmlight range, meaning that projects can be seamlessly transferred and shared between on-set, near-set and the grading suite simply and transparently, offering a powerful collaborative workflow.

Colorist Laura Jans Fazio and Avid Solutions Specialist, Michael Krulik (Solution Design & Consulting), will demonstrate and answer questions about the Avid and Baselight interoperability and how to create the perfect shot with Baselight for Avid. Features highlighted include Media Composer and Baselight workflow and toolset enhancements, AAF-based round tripping, GPU acceleration, integration with Avid Artist Color and other 3rd party control surfaces, and much more.

Pond5 will be on hand to share how their stock media libraries empower media makers. Ryan McAfee will show the depth and breadth of their royalty-free content, and Bybe Sepit will demonstrate their Adobe Premiere Pro plugin for easy media search, powerful organization, and one-click conform of high-res media.

Exciting raffle prizes and a chance to network and learn from post-production industry peers. Free to attend, just bring your favorite beverage. Food will be provided courtesy of AlphaDogs and the Editors’ Lounge. RSVP is required. To register please visit http://www.editorslounge.com
