The Clay House Children’s Center and Volunteers Are Busy Putting the Pieces Together for the 1st Annual Clay House "Dancing with Our Stars"

Styled after TV’s “Dancing with the Stars," this exciting event will provide guests with a wonderful evening of entertainment. During the evening’s festivities, seven couples will complete for awards. The "Skill Award" will be determined by a panel of judges consisting of popular personalities from Jefferson County. The "People’s Choice Award" will be presented to the couple that raises the largest amount of money from sponsors and fans.

Bessemer, AL, January 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- If you’re a fan of ABC TV’s Dancing with the Stars or simply a fan of dancing, the Clay House Children’s Center and volunteers are busy putting the pieces together for the 1st Annual Clay House Dancing with Our Stars. In what is expected to be the best fundraiser this year, the “Dancing” will take place on the evening of Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Comedy Club Stardome in Hoover, AL. The event is sold out, but the stars are still seeking votes for the “People’s Choice Award.”

Styled after TV’s “Dancing with the Stars”, this exciting event will provide guests with a wonderful evening of entertainment. During the evening’s festivities, seven couples will compete for awards. The “Skill Award” will be determined by a panel of judges consisting of popular personalities from Jefferson County. The “People’s Choice Award” will be presented to the couple who raises the largest amount of money from sponsors and fans. (One vote for every dollar donated ~ Fans vote as often as you like and any amount is accepted).

Each of the stars is paired with a local professional dancer and will select their own dance music. Until show time, the fourteen contestants will be seeking votes (donations), practicing and honing their dance skills for a wonderful evening of fun competition.

Their Star Dancers include: Tammy Waggett, Sophia Hampton, Chandra Payne, Cathy Maynard, Chief Nathanial Rutledge, Jr., Teresa Petelos and William Fortune. The professionals are: Fabian Sanchez with Fred Astair Dance Studio, Sterling Burroughs with Champion Latin & Ballroom Dance Studio, Leslie Cooper who is an Independent Professional with Rock Your Body Ballet, Trinity Gilliam with Dale Serrano Dance Studio, Laura Moore with Birmingham Ballet, Brandon Norris with Birmingham Dance Theatre and Carla Higginbotham with Dance Trance in Birmingham.
