Peter will be charged with the task of leading Jonckers toward further sustainable growth, and overseeing sales and production of the company. Jonckers, which is celebrating its 20th year in business in 2014, provides customized linguistic, cultural, and technical translation and localization solutions to companies seeking to expand into global markets.

Smith has a long history in the localization industry and was previously CEO of SDL’s Language Service business and most latterly CEO of their Consulting organization. Based in Boulder Colorado, Peter is responsible for providing strategy, leadership, direction, process and mentoring for Jonckers sales, account management, consulting and operations teams. Prior to joining SDL Peter founded a document management company and was Projects Director for multimedia localization provider, Polylang.
