TrustPoint Technologies Inc, Appoints New CEO and President

Cleveland, OH, February 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- In a time when more and more people are pointing to Cleveland to become the next Silicon Valley, TrustPoint Technologies, Inc., one of the area’s most successful information technology firms, is gearing up to accommodate new growth naming a new CEO and a new President.

Headquartered in Strongsville, TrustPoint began providing technology services and solutions in 1989, the same year that Tim Berners-Lee sat in a building near Geneva and wrote his proposal for the World Wide Web. Many information technology firms have come and gone since that time, swallowed whole by the volatile nature of the industry. Technology is a demanding field that changes by the minute, but by focusing on keeping up with current innovations and sticking to their business principles, TrustPoint has not only kept their doors open, they have steadily grown.

TrustPoint, now in their third decade of operation, appointed Partner Randy Houlas their new CEO and Vice President Mark Petit as their new President upon the retirement of their longtime leader, David Basile. “I am leaving TrustPoint in good hands,” Basile explained. “I am proud to hang my hat on the many successes I have shared with TrustPoint over the years. It is now time to step down and allow Mark and Randy to lead the company through the next generation of growth.”

New CEO Randy Houlas, who has successfully led multiple companies through periods of substantial growth, brings with him an impressive record of entrepreneurial success and a firm confidence in the principles in which TrustPoint has functioned on since the beginning. “TrustPoint operates from a strong business platform, providing personalized professional IT consulting, and managed services to their clients,” said Houlas. “I was impressed by their business model and the value they provide to clients right from the start.”

Mark Petit joined TrustPoint last summer as Vice President, bringing with him over 25 years of experience from his tenures at Price Waterhouse, Skoda Minotti and Reeves, CBIZ, and as owner of his own consulting company, "e." Petit has spent the past six months working closely with Basile, who has transitioned all responsibilities to Petit. “TrustPoint is a respected company with a niche, competitive spirit, impressive client roster and a successful history,” Petit commented. “It is very exciting to be leading a company with such an enthusiastic team and bright future ahead of it.”

TrustPoint’s new leaders plan to build upon the company’s existing strengths and expand their geographic reach. Petit noted, “There are many great prospects and opportunities for TrustPoint to pursue beyond our current reach.” Houlas went on to add that “as long as we are actively making new connections and delivering the highest quality technology consulting services to every customer, we should experience substantial growth in the coming year.”
