Los Angeles, CA, February 09, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- California Professional, Collegiate, High School and Police/Fire rodeo organizers have a resource to turn to for emergency medical support for injured rodeo athletes.
Today many rodeo organizers contract often inexperienced EMT's with no inside knowledge of the rodeo lifestyle which can be problematic for many rodeo athletes competing. This has resulted in tensions between the athletes and the EMT's.
Xtreme Rodeo Medics based in Los Angeles is a rodeo medic team comprised of former and current rodeo athletes who understand the lifestyle and what is at stake for many of the men and women competing. Members of the team represent many different fire departments throughout the Southern California region and are trained in orthopedic injuries making the team unique.
The rodeo team was founded in Spring of 2013 based on a serious need to ensure that rodeo athletes are being treated by those who understand the injuries associated with events such as bullriding or Saddle Bronc.
The team has announced that in addition to providing medics, it will also offer certified massage therapists and athletic trainers to bolster the services sought by rodeo organizers.
