Phoenix, AZ, February 16, 2014 --(PR.com)-- For the very first time, the new 2014 Pride 10K / 5K Run & 5K Walk will take place on its new USATF certified and professionally timed course in its new downtown Phoenix location in advance of the Phoenix Pride Parade. The new course travels up Central Avenue, down 7th Street, uses a portion of the Parade route and enters into Steele Indian School Park.

“We have transformed our run and walk for 2014 and we are so excited to share this special event with the community,” said Kurt Gross, President of the Board of Directors for Phoenix Frontrunners, Inc. “It’s an exciting way for everyone to participate in something fun that also helps support equality, diversity and acceptance.”

There will be plenty of exhibitors, food, drinks and entertainment for people to enjoy before and after the runs and walk. Phoenix Frontrunners will also be holding closing award ceremonies recognizing male and females who have placed first, second or third overall and male and females from 14 and under up to 75 and older who have placed first, second or third in their age group.

“It’s great to have an event like this to participate in that gets you moving and challenging yourself and that is why we are also professionally timing our walk,” said Dan Shabra, Vice President and Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Phoenix Frontrunners, Inc. “So, no matter whether you are challenging yourself to a run or walk as an individual or team of family, friends or co-workers, we’ll be standing at the finish line ready to congratulate you and provide you with a finisher’s medal that we hope will remind you of your accomplishment for years to come.”
