Trey Wingate Selected as "Engineer of the Year" by the Georgia Engineering Alliance
Augusta, GA, February 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- WK Dickson & Co., Inc. announced that William ‘Trey’ Wingate III, PE has been selected as the 2014 Engineer of the Year in Private Practice by the Georgia Engineering Alliance (GEA) and the 2014 Georgia Engineers Week Planning Committee (E-Week). His nomination entry was selected by engineers representing various engineering organizations.

Mr. Wingate joined WK Dickson after receiving his degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University, beginning a 25-year career with the firm. Over the years he has also helped the firm develop regional offices in NC, SC and GA. He has extensive experience in the civil engineering profession providing consulting services to federal, state and local governmental agencies as well as a wide range of non-governmental entities.

This award honors licensed engineers who have made outstanding contributions to the engineering profession, the public welfare and humankind. The Georgia Society of Professional Engineers, on behalf of GEA and the E-Week Committee, hosted the Annual Engineers Week Awards Gala on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, during which Wingate received his award.

Mr. Wingate has held multiple leadership positions in the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers, including serving as the current president. In addition to his many years of service with numerous engineering industry organizations, Mr. Wingate has been actively involved in many community organizations including: the Masters City Little League; CSRA Crusaders; the engineering advisory group for A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet School; and MATHCOUNTS.
