)-- FreightShipping.com, an online provider of free freight shipping technology, announced the development of a free freight density calculator today. The company aims to provide free online tools for web developers who are looking for easy-to-use freight shipping tools.
The free tool helps shippers determine their freight class. By allowing users to calculate shipment density, the tool simplifies the way freight shippers find their freight class. A freight class number is required to obtain a freight quote.
“Since determining a freight class can be the most difficult part of the freight quote process, we created a tool that lets shippers calculate their class for free,” said John Houser, marketing coordinator for FreightShipping.com.
To calculate shipment density, the shipper inputs their shipment weight and dimensions into the calculator. The calculator then calculates the density, which corresponds to one of 18 different freight class numbers.
The freight class calculator can be implemented on any website by simply copying and pasting HTML code into any page.
