A Record of 4.5M Facebook Impressions for Pic2Go Sponsored Race Photos at 2014 Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon

)-- The 2014 Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon took place Feb 28th with over 35K athletes participating in the biggest athletic event in the country.
Pic2Go Sponsored Social Media Sports Photography solution was operated in the marathon for the 3rd year in a row. Last year the Pic2Go operation was sponsored by Gillette and this year by the new marathon sponsor - Samsung.
All marathon participants were invited to get their branded sports pictures posted directly to their personal Facebook accounts "live" during the race.
Pic2Go sponsored sports photography solution makes use of Pic2Go's bib recognition software. Pic2Go's 2D barcodes on race bibs are optimized for racing event bib number recognition and photo-tagging of marathon photos taken by marathon photographers. The marathon photos are then instantly posted to the social media profiles of all runners registering to the Pic2Go application.
30 marathon photographers took a total of nearly 100K photos during the race.
Over 12K athletes have registered to the Pic2Go application and had their Samsung-branded pictures posted to their Facebook profile during the race.
The activity generated 4.5 Million (!) Facebook impressions with friends and family enjoying watching athletes' branded sports pictures posted to Facebook in real time.
