Singapore, Singapore, March 12, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Scalada Holdings, Ltd., the Singapore-based sustainable solutions company is in talks with a chemical engineering partner which it says has developed a new method for processing ore to extract gold and platinum more effectively and cheaply.
A spokesperson for the company, said, “In consideration for installation of the new system at a number of our operational sites, we have agreed to sign a non-disclosure agreement with our partner in this venture. We have seen fully operational systems in place at test facilities both in gold and platinum mines and are excited at the cost savings this remarkable new innovation will bring to our projects,” said a Scalada Holdings, Ltd. spokesperson.
Although Scalada Holdings, Ltd. is unable to divulge the name of the company with whom it is partnering, it is able to confirm that the processing innovation involves the use of synthetic liquid polymers that are three times more potent than nitric and hydrochloric acid that are traditionally used in chemical processing of precious metals.
“These polymers dissolve the impurities in the gold ore twice as efficiently as current methods and are neutralized and flushed more easily, taking all impurities with them. The resulting residue is almost pure gold (99.999% or 24K). This residue is then heated with a torch to melt the gold powder into useable gold,” explained the Scalada Holdings, Ltd. spokesperson
“We firmly believe that by embracing innovation in what has become an extremely competitive industry, we can eke out a meaningful advantage over larger rivals who are able to command considerably greater financial firepower than we are able to bring to bear with limited resources,” concluded the Scalada Holdings, Ltd. spokesperson.
