Jumping In on Episode 5 "Taking It Up a Notch" on The Balancing Act’s Mission Makeover on Lifetime TV

Gearing up for the mission ahead, celebrity fitness trainer Adriana Martin and the ladies meet up with Steve Friswold from RAVE Sports at the water’s edge where he introduces them to one of the fastest growing sports – paddle boarding. Making a splash, the women take on the paddleboards and Wave Trampolines from RAVE during the highly competitive challenge.

Watch to see who emerges from the water as the winner, and receives a fun gift for her efforts.

Is snacking the enemy? After a hard but fun day competing, the ladies have worked up an appetite, and are ready for a snack, South Beach Style. Time to get schooled in the Science of Snacking. The women meet with South Beach Diet Vice President of Development Scott Sturgill for some great tips on “strategic snacking.” He’ll reveal how often one should snack and recommend nutrient-packed grab ‘n go snacks including South Beach Diet’s Smoothies and bars.

What common fruit tricks your body into thinking it’s thin? The four team members sit down with Creative Biosciences spokesperson Megan Blackmon for more tantalizing tidbits about all natural Designer Supplements and powerful weight loss ingredients found in nature – Raspberry Keytones and African Mangos are part of the lively discussion.

‘Taking it Up a Notch’ continues as the ladies take in-home fitness to the top notch. Form meets function for some fitness fun with a hi-tech fitness machine. Trainer Matt Pack and the women meet up with Jeff Smith, Industrial Designer, who designed the Islamorada machine for Yowza Fitness. This innovative elliptical home fitness system gives the gals fluid motion that feels easy as their bodies are actually working harder.
