)-- Eric Jackson turned 50 on the Nile River in Uganda, while training with his family and Team of World Champion Kayakers. This year is the culmination of milestones for Eric (EJ) Jackson.

25 years married to Kristine Jackson
Became a Grandpa with Daughter, Emily Jackson (two time world champion) having a boy, Tucker, with her husband, Nick Troutman, who beat EJ in 2009 at the World Championships to take his title and leave him with a silver medal.
Eric also is known for his hugely successful Jackson Kayak brand that is the largest seller of both fishing and whitewater kayaks as well as the fastest growing brand in the industry.
Jackson Kayak was founded in 2004 in Sparta, TN and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
