“I am honored to be joining this diverse group of military officers and civilian leaders in exploring our country’s evolving and dynamic security issues. I am looking forward to interacting with the participants and gaining a better understanding of how our Air Force conducts its mission,” said Kessler.
Invitees to this forum are articulate, critical thinkers and opinion leaders who have little or no prior military affiliation. Kessler, along with a group of unique hand-selected civilians, will engage with senior U.S. and international military officers to provide personal perspectives on national and international topics, as well as discuss and challenge views of senior military/civilian leaders.

About the National Security Forum (NSF)
Each year the Air War College (AWC) http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/ hosts the National Security Forum (NSF). The Secretary of the Air Force sponsors the forum. NSF began in 1954 as an expansion of the Civilian Outreach Seminars held from 1947 through 1949. The purpose of the NSF is to expose influential citizens to senior U.S. and international officers and civilian equivalents in order to engage each other's ideas and perspectives on Air Force, national and international security issues. It's an opportunity for the AWC students, the future military leaders, to interact with a broad cross-section of civilian leaders from businesses, universities, industry, media, law, the clergy, and state and local governments. The NSF provides a frank and candid exchange of views on national security matters among invited guests, Air War College students, and senior military and civilian leaders. The week is devoted to exploring the many issues that affect the current and future security of America. http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/nsf_main.aspx
