Johnny Utah’s Bar and Restaurant to Open in South Norwalk. NYC’s Original Mechanical Bull Riding Bar and Restaurant is Set to Take the Stage May 1st.
Norwalk, CT, April 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The party pros behind Johnny Utah’s in New York City and Philadelphia open their newest location in South Norwalk, Connecticut on Washington Street on May 1st. This line-dancin’, shot-pourin’, mechanical bull-ridin’ bar and restaurant is a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll, and a whole lot of fun.

Connecticut’s newest soon-to-be party-pub staple is 6,500 square feet dedicated to crowds seeking delicious food, an unpretentious party, and bustling nightlife. Having undergone a complete gut renovation of the former Black Bear Saloon, the new space has been transformed into the ultimate cowboy experience and will redefine any guest’s view of “What is country.” Standing proud in the center of the room is the impressive main attraction – an 18 foot, state of the art mechanical bull ring. Patrons can test their riding skills for free, 7 days a week and are challenged, “Can you handle our bull?” The lunch and dinner menu boasts an authentic, made in-house BBQ and Southwestern cuisine. Find peace in the bottom of a real tall cold drink with over 40 beers in house and a signature cocktail list served in giant 42 ounce boots if you desire.

Thursday, May 1st at 8pm, Johnny Utah’s comes out with guns blazing when it opens its doors to the public for the first time. Guests can RSVP online to receive a free drink and be the first to experience the vibrant atmosphere. Friday, the Official Grand Opening kicks off with a live broadcast with Kicks 105.5’s Dan Hopkins. From 8m – 9pm pull on your boots or slip into your heels for line dancing led by Connecticut’s own, Cowboy Ron. Later that night, NYC’s world famous Naked Cowboy will be making an appearance as well.

The celebration continues on Saturday with an event lineup that would leave even the most rugged cowboy ready to kick back. From 7pm - 9pm, help Johnny Utah’s give back with Rides for a Cause. Bully Breed Rescue hosts a fundraiser to raise money for their nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of animals in need. Every bull ride is just $5 during the event, and it all goes to charity. Then, hold on to your horseshoes because at 9pm the party bucks into high gear with ticket giveaways to the hottest country event of the summer, Taste of Country Music Festival.

Party all weekend with a live DJ playing boot stompin’ country, rock ‘n’ roll, and favorite top 40 hits, meet the darling staff, and dance alongside Johnny Utah’s resident performers, The Smokin’ Guns. Let’s get this thing started. It’s a Utah’s kind of party.
