Dr. Lawrence Gray Presented an Update on Experience with Liposuction Breast Reduction at International Conference

Portsmouth, NH, April 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Gray presented an update on his experience with Liposuction Breast Reduction at a conference of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, held March 21st through March 23rd, 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa. Three hundred plastic surgeons attended this educational event, largely from South Africa, but many from Germany and other European countries. Dr. Gray was the only American plastic surgeon in attendance. Dr. Gray was also asked to speak at next year’s conference in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Plastic surgeons around the world have adopted this technique and are using it as their primary method for alleviating symptoms of over sized breasts, which include back, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, numbness in hands and arms, shoulder indentations, poor posture from the downward pull of the weight and painful rashes. Traditional breast reduction is also an effective procedure for eliminating these painful symptoms, however, it does leave behind a minimum of 12 inches of scarring on each breast.

As the originator and internationally recognized expert on Liposuction Breast Reduction, also known as “Scarless Breast Reduction,” Dr. Gray has performed over 1,300 in 19 years. Dr. Gray’s results show that an average volume of 800 cc’s were removing giving the patient a 2 cup reduction in bra size. Using liposuction for breast reduction makes sense because the breast is mostly fat. Fat content ranges from 61 to 74%.

Dr. Gray emphasizes the simplicity of the procedure. Scarless breast Reduction is good for all ages and ethnicities. It is a safe procedure with better results, less complications, less pain, no scarring and a quick recovery. Scarless breast reduction can also used to correct the condition of "asymmetry," which is when a person has breast different in size from each other. More people are rejecting the conventional method. Scarless breast reduction involves no cutting and patients are up and about as soon as they feel up it, often the same or next day.

There are many other advantages. Patients retain normal sensation and the ability to breastfeed. They have improved breast shape. There is an improved ability to detect cancer with better reading of mammograms after scarless breast reduction. There is a lower incidence of breast cancer—40% reduction on breast cancer among these women who had breast reductions. Vertical mastopexy and other procedures, such as a tummy tuck, can be done at same time of Liposuction Breast Reduction. Liposuction Breast Reduction can be used as an alternative to the removal and replacement of breast implants with lower complication and less cost.

Dr. Gray concluded that Liposuction Breast Reduction is better than the conventional method, has universal appeal, is good for all over sized breast patients, is safe and effective, and has a lower rate of complications and produces a higher level of patient satisfaction with it’s lack of scarring, less pain, and quicker return to normal activity significant and cost savings in the OR.
