It’s a who’s who of competitors in the International Pizza Business. More than 600 Pizzaiolo's, Competitors, and Chefs from across Europe, America, plus 33 other countries.

Saint Paul, MN, April 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Randy Hueffmeier of Randy’s Premier Pizza just got back from a Pizza and Wine Tour of Italy. Starting with the World Pizza championship in Parma, Italy, a few days ago, Randy an International award winning Pizza Maker and Americas 1st International Pizza Champion competed in 5 World Pizza Championship Events 3 Baking Events and 2 Skills Events. It’s a who’s who of competitors in the International Pizza Business from some of the best Pizza Chefs across Europe, America, and 33 plus other Countries, Hueffmeier did really well this year as the Top American Performer and 15th in the World for the Pan Division and did really well in the other categories as well including a top 20 in the Gluten Free Pizza Categories.

The World Pizza Championship brings more than 600 hundred competitors from over 33 countries and an international jury, composed by more than 30 judges every year to the food valley of Italy to compete for the title of best in the world in 10 categories of competition.

Also recently in Las Vegas, Hueffmeier won the Gold at the World Pizza Games in Las Vegas, NV, in the Gluten Free Pizza Categories, and has title of World Champion and got Best in the Midwest and 5th overall in the World in the American Pan Division.

While on Tour through Milan, Parma, Carole, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Tuscany, Rome, and Naples Hueffmeier received Certifications in 6 categories in Carole, Italy at the oldest teaching school in Italy, getting trained by the best Pizzaioli in all of Italy, multi-world Champion Graziano Bertuzzo. Randy was certified in Classic, Pan Iteglia, Pizza in Pala, STG, Gluten Free, and the theory behind Pizza. Once done, Carole Hueffmeier headed to Naples, Italy via Venice, Bologna, Florence, Tuscany, and Rome. Once in Naples, Hueffmeier received certification in Neapolitan Pizza VPN from the Vera association of Neapolitan Pizza and also from APN Association. While there Hueffmeier worked in some of the oldest and best known Pizzerias in the world. Although Hueffmeier has been making wood fired pizzas and competing in Italy since 1995, he said he thought it would be more authentic to be certified in Naples, Italy the birthplace of Pizza. Randy also attending Wine classes throughout his visit meeting with Wine aficionados as well as some of the premier wine experts in Italy.
