The ITF Seniors World Championships is among the most prestigious and coveted events on the ITF Seniors circuit. Approximately 450 celebrated tennis players and former pros from around the world, including Jeff Tarango (USA), a retired pro and top 10 doubles player, Claire Wood (Great Britain), a former WTA Tour player, Jolene Watanabe (USA), an 11-year WTA Tour veteran, and former pro Jenny Klitch (USA), plan to compete in the team competition at Polo Club this week.

“Polo Club is very honored to be hosting such a prestigious event,” said Polo Club’s long-time Tennis Director Jean Mills, who is also this year’s ITF Seniors World Championships Tournament Director. “It showcases the goodwill Polo Club and our members have for all the various countries and competitors. We appreciate the distance everyone has come, and we want the players to consider Polo their home away from home.”

The Polo Club’s 27 Har-Tru clay courts will be home to two divisions of the internationally renowned tournament this year. Players in the Men’s age 45 division will compete in the Dubler Cup, named for Leon Dubler, the first president of the Veterans International Tennis Association. The Margaret Court Cup is for the Women’s age 45 division, named in honor of Australian tennis great Margaret Court.
