Bob Moore Construction Debuts Dura-Tech Processes' New Manufacturing Facility in Mansfield, Texas
Arlington, TX, May 07, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Since 1977 Dura-Tech Processes, Inc. has provided highly specialized, wear and corrosion resistant plating for a variety of manufacturing and material handling industries. Over the years the company has expanded its production facilities several times to meet its growing list of customers; this need has increased dramatically in the past five years due to the remarkable growth in U.S. oil and natural gas production.

After looking at existing buildings in the area, Dura-Tech decided to build a new facility just across the street from their current operations. Dura-Tech chose Bob Moore Construction as their general contractor after receiving an excellent referral from a business contact who was a previous Bob Moore client on multiple occasions. Alliance Architects was selected as the architect for the project.

In March 2014 Dura-Tech opened the doors on their new operations facility. Constructed with tilt-up construction, the building provides 57,000 SF of custom-designed production space. The floor features a custom-engineered containment system that is sloped and fully coated with epoxy. An extended catwalk provides access to elevated equipment and seven five-ton cranes are mounted overhead. The space includes an interior loading dock, several offices and an employee locker room. The facility also includes a backup generator system and a boiler system. The interior is fully painted and the exterior is completed with a two-tone gray color scheme with blue accent lines.

“The new building looks great, inside and out,” said Mr. Hubbell. “It looks very high-tech. Our customers are excited about our increased capacity as well. The further we go with the new building the happier our customers are. We have always tried to stay a step ahead of the curve with our business, but this facility is four or five steps ahead of the curve.”

“We are really excited to have played this part in Dura-Tech’s growth in the coming years,” said Kyle Whitesell, Executive Vice President for Bob Moore Construction. “Adam, Rick and Jason Hubbell at Dura-Tech were a joy to work with. They knew what they needed and collaborated with us throughout the process to maximize the facility’s potential. Great communication is a crucial part of a successful construction project and that was a key reason, particularly during the design phase, why this project went so smoothly.”

“The whole Bob Moore Construction experience was something we never had before,” said Mr. Hubbell. “We have gone through three facility expansion projects in the past and this was by far the most well-oiled, well organized pleasant experience we’ve ever had. The difference between this and previous projects was night and day.

“Randy Portales (superintendent) was always available and he always knew what was going on,” added Mr. Hubbell. “Kyle Whitesell was great. We were impressed with him when we first met him and he was extremely well organized from that point on. He was always present, always ready to get involved.

“We never had a concern about following up with Bob Moore Construction. If anything, they were calling us to follow up on things. They made building a lot easier.”
