Atlanta Life Financial Group Announces Board Leadership and Member Changes

Atlanta, GA, May 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Board of Directors of Atlanta Life Financial Group (ALFG) and its President & Chief Executive Officer, William J. Taggart, are pleased to announce the appointments of Roosevelt Giles as Chairman, and William J. Stanley, III as Vice Chair, Board of Directors of Atlanta Life Financial Group.

Mr. Giles, who replaces Egbert L. J. Perry, has served on the Atlanta Life Financial Group Board since 2000 and as Vice Chair since 2008.

Mr. Stanley, the appointee selected to fill Mr. Giles vacated post, has served as an Atlanta Life Financial Group Board member since 2005. Mr. Stanley also serves as Chairman of ALFG’s majority stockholder, the Herndon Home Foundation.

The ALFG Board of Directors welcomes three new members to the Board: Maryann Bruce, Asset Management Industry veteran; Chris Morris, Managing Partner, Tatum; and Steve Rabb, Vice President, Corporate and Distinguished Partners, American Cancer Society.

In addition to Perry, Roy Barnes and W. Pitts Carr will not return to the 2014 Atlanta Life Financial Group Board of Directors.
