Silver State Trailways Develops Doyle, CA to Las Vegas, NV Line Run; New Intercity Fixed Route Will Extend Public Transportation Service in Nevada

Silver State Trailways launches intercity bus service between Doyle, CA and Las Vegas, NV.

North Las Vegas, NV, June 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Silver State Trailways of North Las Vegas, Nevada is proud to announce their new intercity fixed route bus service Silver State Mainline between Doyle, CA and Las Vegas, Nevada. Silver State Trailways has been family owned and operated since 1986, and is an established and respected motor coach operator that specializes in charters, tours, scheduled trips, casino runs, and is School Pupil Activity Bus (SPAB) certified by the California Highway Patrol. Silver State Trailways is part of the Trailways Transportation System, which is the oldest North American motor coach system comprised of independent, privately owned motor coach companies with an enviable reputation for providing safety, security, quality, reliability, and value for services provided.

Through a public/private partnership with the Nevada Department of Transportation, Silver State Trailways intercity fixed route will connect 10 cities, unincorporated areas, military installations, Native American and rural communities. The line run will extend from Doyle, CA with stops in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Fallon, Hawthorne, Tonopah, Beatty, Pahrump, and finish in Las Vegas. These areas are underserved by public transportation, and Silver State Trailways looks to extend transportation options to these communities increasing resident mobility, economic opportunity and quality of life.

The line run will also provide additional interconnectivity with Greyhound interlining at both ends of the routes in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada. This will allow Nevada residents and other travelers on the proposed service with additional opportunities to ride the public transit systems in both Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada. Silver State Trailways will also be working to courier packages along the proposed service corridor.

Silver State Mainline initial service will provide two round trips along the proposed service with Doyle, CA departure time beginning at 8:15 am and arriving in North Las Vegas at 6:45 pm. Silver State Trailways is excited to be working with the Nevada Department of Transportation in creating this important public/private partnership that will greatly improve the transportation offerings between Reno and Las Vegas. The project is supported by Federal Program 5311(f), which provides assistance to fund intercity bus transportation. Intercity service is regularly scheduled bus service for the general public which operates with limited stops over fixed routes connecting two or more urban areas not in close proximity, which has the capacity for transporting baggage carried by passengers and which makes meaningful connections with scheduled intercity bus service.
