Washington, DC, June 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The National Capital Area Council (NCAC), Boy Scouts of America (BSA) will honor Michael Melton, President, 100 Black Men of Greater Washington, D.C. with the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award outstanding service in supporting opportunities for local youth from low-income urban backgrounds. In addition to his legal practice, Attorney Melton is also the Founder, President and CEO of MEM Enterprises. MEM, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, owns and manages a portfolio of commercial real estate, Taco Bell and Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurants. The company continues to develop a commanding presence in the Franchise Industry and in Commercial Real Estate.

Mr. Melton serves on numerous boards of organizations providing local community service.

The dinner is open to the public and sponsorships are available at www.NCACBSA.org/champions. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit Scouting and Learning for Life programs for youth in the District of Columbia, including the campership program that helps Scouts attend summer camp.
