Three Law Students Gain "on the Job Training" This Summer at Henderson Franklin

Fort Myers, FL, June 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to welcome three law students, Matthew Devisse, Michael Lenhert, and Austin Turner. They will supplement their law school experience by working as clerks at the firm during the summer.

As part of Henderson Franklin's Summer Associate Program, these law students will have an opportunity to be exposed to a broad range of practice areas. Summer associates attend hearings, trials, depositions, mediations, arbitrations and meetings with clients, amongst other activities. Additionally, they perform research, assist in the drafting of pleadings, discovery and other documents, and analyze various legal issues that arise in the course of the matters handled by the firm and its attorneys. Each summer associate is paired with a Henderson Franklin attorney mentor who assists the summer associate with the transition from law student to lawyer.

Devisse grew up in Naples and graduated from Gulf Coast High School in 2008. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in criminology. Devisse is entering his final year of law school at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he has been involved with Moot Court and the Florida Journal of International Law. In his free time, Matt enjoys playing basketball and is lifelong fan of Chicago sports teams.

Turner graduated from Vero Beach High School in 2008 and is a native of Vero Beach, Florida. Prior to entering law school he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Legal Studies. Turner is entering his final year at Florida State University College of Law and is a member of Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honor society. He has achieved the Dean’s List every semester of law school in addition to Book Awards in Contracts, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Family Law.

Lehnert grew up in Cape Coral and graduated from Bishop Verot High School in 2008. He is attending the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he is enrolled in the Land Use and Environmental Law Certificate program, is a member of Green Law, and assists with the annual Public Interest Environmental Conference. Lehnert obtained his B.S. in Economics from the University of Florida.
