Follow the Nose to Success; Samsung Collaboration with Nose Knows Design Wins Award for Innovation

The nose knows things that the eyes don't see and the ears can't hear but that create a connection within a space to enthrall a generation. Olfactory science and exquisite creativity guided Samsung to a grand recognition within the sensory marketing community that has eyebrows raising and noses twitching.

Toronto, Canada, June 22, 2014 --( New York City played host this past weekend to an evening of honour and celebration within the fragrance community at the annual SMItty awards. The prestigious SMItty Groundbreakers award is endowed annually to a company that has transcended convention and demonstrated innovation and excellence in scent and sensory marketing. This year's award went to David Moisey, Senior Manager Retail Development at Samsung Electronics Canada for infusing Samsung stores with the Samsung Smart Fragrance, specially formulated by Tracy Pepe to capture the essence of Generation Y.

Samsung looked to Pepe, Master Perfumer and Olfactive Branding Specialist at Nose Knows Design to create the unique blend. Focusing her craft on Generation Y's love of shopping, Pepe designed the Samsung Smart Scent to facilitate an atmosphere of play and innovation that would spark interest and enthusiasm in the store.

Targeted research, creative application and meticulous artistry set the stage for the fragrance that would would blaze a trail in the scent industry and capture the attention of its innovators and imagineers with a novel philosophy of specialized design. Custom made for Generation Y, the Samsung Smart Fragrance has been received with audience adoration and industry accolade.

Nose Knows Design founder and Scent Designer, Tracy Pepe comments: “This blend is layered with elements of Pink Metal. Metallic notes represent innovation and value. They are often associated with wealth, luxury, mental power, quality and sophistication, much like Gen Y itself. By combing notes of vanilla and woods, the combination allows this custom oriental blend to flow, linger and capture the minds of its audience.”
