London, United Kingdom, October 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Laurence Fuller was plunged head first into the international art world, became the youngest successful art dealer in Australian history, survived an African coup, then went on to graduate from one of the top drama schools in the world, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, all before his 21st birthday. Laurence was born into a family of artists on 09/10/1986. His father was the revolutionary British art critic and founder of Modern Painters Peter Fuller, his mother is the Australian sculptress Stephanie Burns. Laurence’s uncle, Brendon Burns, winner of the 2007 if.comedy award at this year’s Edinburgh Festival, inspired Laurence to become a performer from the age of 10 when he joined the Australian Theatre for Young People. Since Laurence has been carving out a name for himself, garnering interest from such casting directors as Dan Hubbard (Bourne Ultimatum).

Grammy nominated conductor, Christopher Lyndon-Gee came to see Laurence as Calaban in Shakespeare’s The Tempest in Australia, when he was just 15 years old forming a friendship that still lasts today.

“He is a thoroughly exceptional young man, with a powerful artistic personality and drive beneath, and already significant achievements for his age.”- Christopher Lyndon-Gee, 2006

From 2003-04 Laurence worked intensively with Peter Wilkins, who is the theatre critic for the Canberra Times and thought by many to be the foremost acting tutor in Australia’s capitol. Peter said of Laurence, “A natural soft-spoken, unassuming demeanour belies a resolute confidence and ambitious determination to succeed. Laurence possesses a passion that gives rise to inventive, imaginative and highly intelligent interpretation of character.”- Peter Wilkins, 2005

Laurence has discovered his own voice as an actor, which has been developing over the past ten years with his involvement in fringe theatre and voice-over work (including work for X-Box).

“An up and coming voice artist to look out for, Laurence comes by his talent naturally.”- Stephanie Ciccarelli, 2006

His talent has now been finely tuned into a highly professional tool by his training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Laurence has been in consistent work since he graduated in July this year, with help from his theatrical agent, Loftus Burton (Evolution Management) and voice-over agent, Susan MacTavish (Lip Service).

In 2005 driven by his love for all artistic forms Laurence curated an art exhibition of rare and important European prints including artists such as Rembrandt, Lucian Freud and Goya. The show was held at Stephanie Burns Fine Art in Australia, drew a record attendance for the gallery of over 600 people and established him as the youngest successful art dealer in Australian history.
